We are glad to announce that our section has elected two new YECREA representatives.
Anna Maria Planitzer (she/her) is a Ph.D. candidate and research associate at the Political Communication (PolCom) Research Group at the University of Vienna. Her research is centered around “responsible“ algorithms and AI, automated content moderation and user-agency, as well as its attitudinal, behavioral and emotional effects.
Andreea Stancea has a Ph.D. in Sociology and is currently an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Communication (National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, Bucharest, Romania). Her research focuses on political communication, voting behavior, and disinformation.
We would like to express our gratitude to Cristina Monzer and Emilija Gagrčin – the section’s two former YECREA representatives – for their great contributions and service to the section in the last few years. Cristina and Emilija organized several Early-Career Workshops online and on-site and helped organize the section conference in Berlin in 2023. Their work strengthened the early-career-scholar community in our section long-lastingly. A huge thanks to both of them for their service
YECREA is the Young Scholars Network of the ECREA. YECREA representatives work along with the Management Team to organize section events specially of interest for early-career scholars in the field of political communication and voice topics with special relevance to this up and coming group of scholars.
