Call for self-nominations for section leadership

We would like to inform you that all ECREA sections are required to hold elections during their business meetings at the ECC 2024 in Ljubljana. The new Internal Regulations (replacing the old Bylaws) were approved by the ECREA General Assembly held from 17-21 June. The upcoming elections must be therefore organized in accordance with the procedures outlined in the new Internal Regulations. (PDF with new Internal Regulations is attached here. The section elections are stipulated by Article 14.)

The most significant change concerns the composition of the Management Teams. According to the new regulations, each Management Team must now include “chair(s), vice-chair(s), and a communication officer, either as a dedicated person or as a role carried out by other Management Team member.” It follows that Internal Regulations now allow Management Teams the flexibility to decide the number of chairs and vice-chairs they wish to elect. We would like to suggest keeping a number of MT members as it now (3).

Hence, with this email we are publishing a call for candidates who would like to run for the Section chair and two vice-chairs, with one of the vice-chairs serving as the Section communication officer. Candidates can run as individuals or as a full team (3 persons).

Please send your full names, email addresses, and short bios to our section election officer – Vaclav Stetka (v.stetka@lboro.ac.uk) no later than on July 31 until 12:00 a.m. CET. We need to send all documents to the ECREA no later than on August 4, 2024.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your cooperation in previous years and inform you that the current Management Team of the Section (Jakub Ohme, Nicoleta Corbu, and Agnieszka Stępińska) will run for one more term.
